Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Inferis platform (“Service”), operated by Inferis Pty Ltd (ABN pending) (“Inferis”, “we”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Inferis provides a secure, cloud-based document intelligence platform that allows engineering and compliance professionals to upload, index, and query project archives using AI-assisted search. The Service includes document storage, full-text indexing, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for question answering with citations.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation. By creating a firm or team account, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@inferis.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all documents, files, and data you upload to the Service (“Your Data”). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Data. We access Your Data solely to provide the Service — indexing, searching, and generating answers from your documents.

Your Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure located in Australia (region: australia-southeast1). We do not transfer Your Data outside of Australian jurisdictions unless required by law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

7. Service Availability

Inferis is currently in a pilot phase. We endeavour to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

8. AI-Generated Answers

Answers provided by the Service are generated using AI models and are derived from the documents in your vault. While we strive for accuracy and include source citations, AI-generated content may contain errors. You should always verify important information against original source documents. Inferis does not provide professional engineering, legal, or compliance advice.

9. Fees & Payment

The Service currently offers a free tier with storage and query limits. Paid plans may be introduced in the future. We will provide advance notice of any pricing changes. No charges will be incurred without your explicit consent.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings panel. Upon termination, your uploaded documents will be permanently deleted within 30 days. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Inferis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
